How To Ruin A Shop Assistants Day

AKA Lamberts or Bensons with that love?

Everyday she says the same thing
"do you want 20 Lamberts with that love?"
Every other day I decline the offer
On the occasion when I nod and say please
Her whole world illuminates
Her slightly squint eyes light up
behind the three inch thick goggles that enable her to see
Her job is done
the cigarettes beep on the machine followed by the sandwich and newspaper
She smiles knowingly
She knows me now
Or at least she knows how long it takes me to get through 20 cigarettes

I was in a bad mood today
so I bought Benson and Hedges instead
Her whole world shattered there and then

I can't wait to go back tomorrow
