Biting My Tongue

sick of being silent
sick of being dumb
sick of all the times
I have to bite my tongue
sick of pointless minutes
spent trying to fit in
sick of this frustration
sick of everything

and you all seem so happy
with mediocre lives
just putting up with each other
as you waste away your time

but you never say what you really feel
you never say anything at all

just like me
silent
dumb
biting your tongue

and as i lose my fight
against myself
you will continue
unaware
that there is one
as i am silent
dumb
biting my tongue

but sometimes
to lose
is the biggest
most fulfilling
victory
you could ever imagine
forever
and i am silent and dumb
as you bite your tongue...
